How Calvinistic are YOU? You can imagine my horror

when I discovered that Doug Chaplin was less of a Calvinist than I. I thought for sure I would have him beat, but alas I am, in fact, more of a Calvinist than Clayboy. How embarrassing! How Calvinistic are YOU?

  1. that’s bad news for you lad. you have to have at least 51% to be numbered among the elect.

    • Clever, Jim, but isn’t election corporate? :)

Oops, that’s not very Calvinistic of me, is it?

  2. I took the test in boredom waiting for my parents to return from the store. I gota 58%, but I’m not buying it. Some of the questions were ridiculous (most, actually). Either I had no clue what they were asking, or simply didn’t think either response was proper to my feelings. Hey Jim, are Calvinists wishy-washy? Doubt it.

I’m a religiously liberal, politically conservative postmodern. Where does that place me?

    • Yes, John, I’m with you on this one. I felt that, on some of those questions and explanations, you could replace “Chuck Norris” and it would have worked just fine.

“Chuck Norris always keeps his promises.”

      • But that would be a true statement though.

  3. I got a 67%. The weirdest question was the one about a vacation on the off chance. Is that a British phrase?

    • I have no idea. Very strange though, isn’t it?

  4. well john- that makes ya straw fit for the pit…

    ;-P

    • Spoken as a true Calvinist, Jim! :)

    • Thanks, Jim. You’re not the first person to send me to hell, and I’m certain you won’t be the last!

I just trust that when I fall, Luther will be there to catch me. Then I will ascend with Luther to the Heavens. Beautiful. (wink)

  5. [...] I was rather hoping for something like what Doug Chaplin or Michael Whitenton, who fared much better than I. Of course, I am taking it like golf – the lower the number, [...]

  6. This was all practical stuff. I scored 61%, but if it were all theological I probably would have scored 2%

    • Yeah, I was disappointed to score so bloody high.

  7. [...] of 47%, which means that I am “somewhat of a Calvinist”. That’s more than Michael, and a lot more than Doug, but much less than [...]

  8. Since we can’t convert them to Calvinism by our arguments, Just let them take a Quiz…

Not really.  But a quiz has been floating around the Christian blogosphere called the C-Factor, Are you a Calvinist? convincing a bunch of non-Calvinists that they’re more Calvinist than they would have us believe:
    At 28%
    1. Doug
    2.
    At 39%
    1. Mic…
